MBABANE – The duo of Sabelo ‘Sikhali’ Ndzinisa and Phiwa ‘S’lwabelwabe’ Dlamini are enjoying a prolific season in the MTN Premier League.

They are almost scoring in each every game they are playing. Young Buffaloes front man, Phiwa Dlamini, is the current leading top goalscorer on 17 goals having scored the lone goal during their 1-0 win over Denver Sundowns on Saturday. Despite the defeat, Mbabane Highlanders striker was on top of his game as he scored their only goal when they lost 2-1 to rivals, Mbabane Swallows during the MTN Premier League Mbabane derby played on Saturday at Mavuso Sports Centre, taking his tally to 16.

Ndzinisa is eager to break his own record of 19 goals he scored in the 2016/ 17 season, while he was playing for Mbabane Swallows. This was before he played for South Africa’s Mbombela United before joining Highlanders beginning of the season. The duo are closing on to Sandile ‘Saviola’ Gamedze’s 18 goals he scored last season to take the lucrative top goalscorer award home. Gamedze had already scored 18 goals when the 2019/ 20 season was stopped due to the COVID-19 pandemic.

pocketed

Young Buffaloes’ ‘S’lwabelwabe’ had already pocketed the E6 000 first round prize money having finished the first round on 13 goals, two ahead of ‘Sikhali’. There are seven games remaining before the end of the season.
Other players who are not out of the E12 000 worth awards are Royal Leopard’s Muzi ‘Mzoro’ Dlamini, Manzini Wanderers’ Fabrice Mopina, Mbabane Swallows’ James Nguluve, Sandile Hlatshwako and Young Buffaloes’ ‘Saviola’.
