NHLANGANO – Sabelo ‘Sikhali’ Ndzinisa scored his 15th goal of the season to inspire Mbabane Highlanders to a well deserved but hard fought 2-0 victory over rivals Manzini Wanderers in a tightly contested encounter played here yesterday.

In a game of two halves, Ndzinisa opened the scoring for the ‘Bull’ with a trademark typical headed goal after a cross from the right flank to easily beat the otherwise impressive Mxolisi Dlamini between the Wanderers goal posts.  Prior to the goal, the speedy striker had won his team a penalty, which Sabelo ‘Sawa’ Gamedze could not convert, as his hard shot hit the upright corner. The penalty miss did not deter Highlanders, as they continued to push forward in search of the opening goal. The opener dully arrived five minutes before the break when Ndzinisa netted with his chest from six yards after a well taken cross by Sabelo ‘Sawa’ Gamedze.

Clinical

Wanderers upped the tempo in the last half but were not clinical in front of goal. The absence of South African striker Siphamandla Dhlamini was badly felt, as Fabrice Mopinawas isolated for longer periods of the game.
Highlanders found the second goal much against the run of play with about 20 minutes of regulation time remaining through South African striker Tshepo ‘Skhwana’ Matete who scored his first goal for the black and white outfit. He connected beautifully with a header after a corner kick from the left flank.
