MBABANE – Elliot Nkambule was on Friday crowned the Dups Herbal Insurance sponsored Leg of Lamb Golf Tournament after scoring 19 points.

As per the tournament’s concept that also promotes unity and sharing especially in the African community where people gather to celebrate functions while eating meat, the winners of the Leg of Lamb tournament take home a variety of meat potions, with the champion receiving a lion’s share.

Among the top six high scorers of the day was Dale Masilela, who shared the spoils of 19 points with Louis Erasmus. Ben Simelane and veteran golfer Augusto Quintella were tied on 18 points with the sixth spot taken by William Tiger after scoring 18 points.  Also present during the prize presentation held at the Manzini Golf Club was Dups Herbal Acting Manager Thamsanqa Msibi. Manzini Golf Club captain Wakie Lawrence thanked the sponsors for their continued support and contribution in the development of golf in the country. “Today we had a field of 22 golfers and I would like to commend the golfers for having adopted the COVID-19 rules and regulations as protocol guarding against the spread of the deadly virus. We are looking forward to the weekly tournament and we invite ladies to also join us,” said Lawrence.
