MBABANE – Protests in football are part of the rules and regulations of the game.

As the country waits for the resumption of elite football in the next two weeks, capital city giants Mbabane Highlanders have declared they are not worried about their rivals protesting against striker Sabelo ’Sikhali’ Ndzinisa. The club’s boss, Chief Ally Kgomongwe, was questioned about this as it was established that in their opening two league games, one of the rival teams confessed it had been urged to lodge a protest by other rival sides.

“We have no worries about that. It is every team’s right to protest, but I can say it now that it would be a waste of their time and money. They can go ahead and protest, but we’re certain about everything,”Kgomongwe responded.

encouraged

He acknowledged that news of some rivals being encouraged to lodge protests against us over the player, but none of it shakes them.

“All we want now is to show our quality in the field of play. I got big plans to take Highlanders to Africa and that’s one of the reasons it was so important to follow the suspension of ‘Sikhali’ as I had been following him and I know how good he is,” Kgomongwe said.

hopeful

He also said that they were hopeful that soon they will be back playing football, he had plans to introduce further concepts in the team that will ensure the clubhouse was safe to harbour the players and staff in terms of COVID-19 and also improving the welfare of the players especially when they experience injuries that need expert medical attention and recovery.
