MBABANE – Eswatini CAF Confederation Cup envoys Young Buffaloes will have a Comoros Islands referee against visiting Tunisia’s Etoile du Sahel on Sunday.

His name is Ali Mohamed Abdelaid. This was confirmed by Koora.com yesterday as they reported on the middle men for both legs of the playoff round.

However, the full list of his team, like assistants and match commissioner, is not in the report.

However, Eswatini Football Association (EFA) Marketing and Communications Officer Muzi Radebe had promised to provide it later yesterday or today.

“We’ll get it and send it through a press release,” he said.

Meanwhile, the second leg will be refereed by Egyptian Ibrahim Noureddine. It is scheduled for next week on February 21. Efforts to get the full list from cafonline.com also failed.

 charge

About Ali, he was in charge of last December’s Bloemfontein Celtic and Rivers United CAF Confederation Cup first round first leg clash and was assisted by compatriots Mohamed Ibrahim and Abdoulmadjid Azilani.

Meanwhile, Buffaloes started their preparations last week after government gave them special permission to train.

The country is currently in a four-week partial lockdown set to last until next week if not extended further. It led to the temporary suspension of football in the country.

resumption

However, latest reports indicate there is light at the end of the tunnel in as far as football resumption at elite level is concerned.

It was reported yesterday in this publication that Cabinet had approved a reviewed proposal for the resumption of the game in the country.

The return is expected soon after the expiration of the partial lockdown.
