MBABANE – Mbabane Highlanders striker Sabelo ‘Sikhali’ Ndzinisa has sung non-stop praises for Chief Ally Kgomongwe.

This is after media comments the South Africa-born Managing Director (MD) made in that he could never let the player’s career be destroyed.

“I am very grateful to be part of the game again after what promised to be a very bad situation in my career but all thanks to the Mbabane Highlanders family especially to Chief Ally Kgomongwe for whatever risk he took to rescue my talent and let me do what I know best,” said the player.

Meanwhile, Kgomongwe had said letting the former Eswatini international’s career end after the Mbombela United setback would have been a big mistake.

Great

The outspoken businessman said if people followed the track-record of the player’s career, even when he was with South Africa’s GladAfrica Championship relegated side Mbombela United, he was undoubtedly a great player.

“He is a cream and you can’t let the career of a player of Sikhali’s calibre easily get destroyed. If you let a player of his quality have his career end abruptly or hang his boots, it tells me that as a person, you do not know football,” said Kgomongwe.

He added that Sikhali was among the players who played and won against the defunct Platinum Stars and delivered silverware for the country. “If you promote a good player, you are indirectly promoting the country.”

Kgomongwe also highlighted that he considered himself a father figure to his players and expected the same treatment from them. “I think it is totally unfair even for the whole country to lose a quality player such as Sikhali or let his career get destroyed,” he said.
