MBABANE - TS Galaxy coach Owen Da Gama has confidence in the two Eswatini internationals in Felix Badenhorst and Justice Figuareido.

Speaking exclusively to the Times Sports Desk, Da Gama pointed out the eswatini-born players’ strengths.

“I have known Felix for some time now and Justice as players at Mbombela and Maritzburg respectively. Felix packs a ferocious shot and Justice is very explosive on the wing in attack. They are both quality players,” he said.

He said, however, he was cognisant that both did not see much game time.

“They have not seen much game time due to injuries and other factors. I have been with the team now for two and a half weeks to try and assess as much as possible and the process is ongoing. I will be able to give a more informed opinion at a later stage,” the former Bafana Bafana coach said.

Tactical

“We will identify if they will understand and acquaint themselves with the tactical culture we are imposing,” he added.

Asked on Felix’s first goal in the PSL, he said;

“Felix struck the ball very well. It is something we saw at training and implemented.”

He also praised Felix and all the other players that managed to hold Orlando Pirates to a 1-all draw on Tuesday.

This was during a DStv Premier ship League match which was played at Orlando Stadium.

Badenhorst played the last 20 minutes of the DStv Premiership clash against Pirates. He replaced Wayde Lakay.

The former AS Vita striker, inspired the Rockets to a 3-0 win over Maritzburg United, scoring the third goal, which was his first goal in the PSL last week.
