MBABANE – He did it again.

That is golfer Ephraem Kunene, who once again won the Mbabane Leg of Lamb (LOL), which was played on Christmas Eve. Kunene won the same tournament on December 4th, before completing his second win 20 days later. He carded a score of 20 points after a countback to win the weekly tournament, which is usually played on Friday. However, it was held last Thursday because on Friday it was the Christmas holiday.

Second

Coming second was Lloyd Mberi on 20 points. He could not win it because he did not have the best score in the last five holes. That is done when players are tied during a golf tournament. The tournament’s secretary has to trace back their performance in their last five holes, the one who played better is the one who get to win thus, name countback. Completing the top three brackets was Phillip Tiriwepi on 19 points after a countback beating Sibusiso Shongwe to this position. Interestingly, the fifth and sixth spots were well contested for by father and son, Valentine and Mukelwa Maziya respectively. However, the son, Mukelwa, managed to beat his father to this position after scoring 18 points after a countback. On the seventh spot was Ncamiso Ntshalintshali on 18 points. The results were released by Mbabane Golf Club Lady Captain Fisiwe Vilane yesterday.
