NICHOLAS WINS UGI LEG OF LAMB

MBABANE – It was a tight competition.

Untied General Insurance (UGI) Leg of Lamb Golf Tournament champion Nicholas Vilakati has a task to defend his title as golfers take to the greens of the Royal Swazi Spa on Friday. Vilakati won last week’s tournament by 18 points. The competition was intense as Vilakati was the only outward winner. The other four winners managed to settle for the same score of 17 points on countback in what was a tightly contested tournament of 35 golfers.

UGI Operations Manager Patrick Gamedze applauded the golfers for an impressive turnout. He thanked the Royal Swazi Spa management for maintaining the course after weeks of heavy rains that made it difficult for golfers to compete.

“We appreciate the turnout of the golfers and more so because the golf course has been well maintained and thanks to our hosts, the Royal Swazi Spa. I would like to congratulate the winners and the scores show that it was indeed a tough competition,” said Gamedze.

He further commended the golfers for their continuous voluntary adherence to the COVID-19 rules guarding safety and health as regulated by government and encouraged them to maintain the standard even outside the course.
