DWALENI – It was a day of fun and riding.

Riders were riding in Support 50, PRO 50, 65, Junior 85, Senior 85 and H/S 125 categories.

Among the over 60 riders were riders from South Africa; namely Dalton Venter and Jesse Wright. Most local riders came with their families such as the Youngs, Toepfers, Sales, Kummer  and  Van Wyk.

The youngest rider came from the Wyk family (Aaron) who is five years old and participated in the support 50 ride and also rode with the PRO 50s. Speaking after the event, SMBA Vice President Tasmia Young said they were happy with the attendance.

Fun

“We had over 60 riders both from Eswatini and South Africa. The event was not about competing but just having a fun day. You will remember that we have had no event since the COVID-19 outbreak, so we wanted to bring riders back into the sport, next year hopefully we are going to host competitive races,” Young said.

She also went on to thank Olaf Toepfer, Robby Kirk and Denzil Young for helping create the MX tracks. She also gave credits to Kieron Du Pont and Keanu Du Pont and Blake Young for doing the  New Enduro X tracks.
