WAKIE BAGS DUPS HERBAL LEG OF LAMB

MBABANE – A team of 15 golfers braved the chilly wind on Friday to participate in the weekly Leg of Lamb Golf Tournament proudly sponsored by Dups Herbal Insurance Company.

Tournament captain Wakie Lawrence was the champion of the day after scoring an unmatched 20 points. Joined by four other top scorers on the podium during the prize presentation, the winners received braai packs consisting of a variety of meat portions as per the tournament’s concept. 

Lawrence snatched the crown from last week’s winner James Nhlengetfwa, who nailed 21 points in a field of 23 golfers. It was indeed a tough course as the four other winners were tied on 17 points, with second-placed winner Augusta Quintela outshining them buy a countback margin.

“I would like to thank our sponsor, Dups Herbal, for bringing us together every week to enjoy the game. Thank you to our greenkeeper for doing a remarkable job in maintaining the course despite the busy road construction in Manzini. We are looking forward to another thrilling tournament next week,” said Lawrence.

Lawrence further invited golfers from across the country to the weekly golf competitions hosted by Manzini Golf Club.
