MBABANE – Good news for Eswatini and Mbabane Highlanders supporters – the two-year suspension on international Sabelo ‘Sikhali’ Ndzinisa has allegedly been lifted.

Ndzinisa was suspended by the South African Football Association (SAFA) Tribunal back in September for signing two contracts with different clubs in the GladAfrica Championship last season.

He was alleged to have signed for TS Sporting first and later Mbombela United, who were relegated due to the guilty verdict.

Information from the sources and speculation on Facebook was that Highlanders’ boss Chief Ally Kgomongwe, who is also a politician in South Africa and signed Ndzinisa against all odds recently, successfully fought the battle.

certain

This publication has recently reported that Kgomongwe was almost certain the player would be playing by December 12, when the league season kicks off, which is just about three weeks from now. Efforts to get a comment from him again yesterday proved futile, but his local representative in club patron, Benson Dlamini was then sought. “It’s true,” responded Dlamini when a Facebook post was forwarded to him.

However, Dlamini did not comment much when pressed further about any documentation in hand that confirmed the latest claims. “Everything is in order,” he added.

Kgomongwe had also just said that they were about to register the striker after learning that his suspension did not extend beyond South African football. He also sounded confident that they were soon to get the former national team Sihlangu star’s international clearance certificate from the Federation of International Football Associations (FIFA).
