WHERE IS OUR DIRECTOR? - ‘WESLIANS’

MANZINI – The mystery is far from over! When Manzini Wanderers supporters had expected to be given a new director yesterday, it was not to be.

Instead, the meeting called by the council of elders at Zakhele Hall yesterday was to officially announce the new National Supporters Committee (NSC) appointed by the elders.

Branches had been invited to the meeting and the expectation was that the new director to assume duties at the hub side would be unveiled.

Supporters were left disappointed after learning that the council of elders had only come to introduce their appointed NSC.

Noteworthy is that a section of Wanderers supporters had also put in place their own NSC led by the vocal Vusi ‘Majayvane’ Dlamini.

The NSC installed by the elders council led by Joe Nkumane was unveiled to supporters at the meeting and the chairperson is Mthunzi Dlamini. His vice is Xolo Dlamini, the secretary being Sizwe ‘Motaung’ Shongwe. The vice secretary is Pununu Mhlanga while treasurer is Nonto ‘Riri’ Mkhonta. There are two members in Bongani Sikhondze and Musa Gamedze.

The NSC may have been introduced to supporters but they were left unhappy as they openly asked from the NSC chairperson and council of elders chairman, Nkumane, where the director they had been promised would soon arrive was.

“My last question would be, where is our director?” asked one supporter, Pat Simelane.

After he had posed the question, another supporter said he also wanted to know same.

“Where is he?” asked Mandvulo Dlamini.

In response to this question, Nkumane asked for patience from the supporters stating that the director will soon arrive.

“There were minor glitches at the border when the director was coming to Eswatini. A few people tested positive for coronavirus and they all had to return to South Africa, the director inclusive,” he said.

He added that there were unfortunate romours spreading around that the director was playing them.
