MBABANE – South Africa-born coach Kenny Ndlazi might be heading back to Eswatini.

This follows reports that the former Manzini Wanderers mentor might be heading back to the country’s hub after being approached by Moneni Pirates for his services.

The ‘Buccaneers’ of Moneni are reportedly considering a number of coaches for the hotseat as reports suggest that they have even approached former Denver Sundowns’s Ernest Mavuso recently for the coaching job.

The ‘Sea Robbers’ as they are affectionately known, are currently without a coach after caretaker coach Bongani Mhlongo’s contract elapsed in June.

offered

The former Mbabane Highlanders stand-in coach was offered a short contract up to the end of the season following the departure of Gcina ‘Magiyane’ Dlamini, who was appointed as the national team, Sihlangu, assistant coach.

Ndlazi was reached for comment but he had not responded to a WhatsApp message sent to him by the time of compiling this report.

Mavuso was also drawn for comment and he neither denied nor confirmed the news but opted not to comment. “I cannot comment on such issues my brother,” said Mavuso briefly.

The team’s manager Mlungisi ‘Puma’ Simelane could also not be reached as his mobile phone repeatedly rang unanswered when called last night.
