MBABANE – The football gods have smiled on Eswatini international, Felix ‘Fela’ Badenhorst.

The former South Africa’s Mbombela United captain has penned a three-year deal with Premier Soccer League (PSL) newbies, TS Galaxy, who recently bought the status of Highlands Park for a reported E60 million.

An informed source close to the deal, told the Times Sports Desk that the former Mbabane Swallows lanky striker’s transfer to the Tim Sukazi-owned outfit has been completed.

“After Mbombela United owner Oupa Matsebula informed the players that they will be receiving free clearances, the deal went through as he is now a free agent so to speak.

He is already in pre-season camp with TS Galaxy together with Jose Figuareido who was a free agent after his short term deal with Mbombela ended earlier this month when the first division league came to an end,” the source said.

Badenhorst, according to the informed source, will be taking home E70 000 per month at his new team.

confirmed

In an interview, Badenhorst confirmed he had signed with TS Galaxy.

“Yes everything is done, I am just waiting for the clearance from Mbombela. Other details you can talk to Tim Sukazi,” Badenhorst said briefly.

Efforts to get hold of the TS Galaxy owner, Tim Sukazi proved futile last night as his mobile phone rang unanswered and he didn’t reply to message sent to him.

The five Eswatini internationals, Justice Figuareido, Banele ‘Pupu’ Sikhondze, Felix ‘Fela’ Badenhorst, Njabulo ‘D4D’ Ndlovu and Sabelo ‘Sikhali’ Ndzinisa plus coaches Dennis ‘Yuki’ Masina and Siyabonga Bhembe found themselves clubless after Mbombela United were relegated from the GladAfrica Championship.

indication

The team owner, Oupa Matsebula has offered the team players free clearance in a clear indication that the team could very well be confined in the dustbin of history. Mbombela United were relegated after the South African Football Association (SAFA) Arbitration Committee docked ‘Tingwenyama’ 23 points for fielding a defaulter in Sabelo ‘Sikhali’ Ndzinisa who had allegedly signed a contract with another first division side, TS Sporting. Ndzinisa was slapped with a two-year ban.
