EZULWINI - This Saturday will be election day for the Premier League of Eswatini (PLE).

Will there be a new captain of the PLE ship or will the elite and second tier league affiliates retain Peter ‘Touch’ Magagula?

Come Saturday, it’s going down in Ezulwini.

All eyes are on the hot chairman’s seat held by Magagula in the last four years.

The latter is also in the running along his executive committee members, Denver Sundowns’ Chairman, Carmichael and Sicelo Mkhonta of Manzini Sea Birds.

“As I had said before, it’s up to the PLE teams.

“They know what they want or who they want. I was nominated and out of respect for that BoG, I’m where I am.

“It’s not like I am looking for a job or a post.

Believes

“I’m here because somebody believes in me so I’m here,” Carmichael said ahead of the electoral annual general meeting.

He explained that for him, it was all in the teams and him.

He even declared that what would matter most is that even if he is not the new Chairman, whoever succeeds deserves every member’s respect and support.

“Life will go on after all. Through God we will achieve greatness.

“Whoever it is, I got no pressure, no stress, no headache,” he said.

The elections are billed for the Happy Valley Hotel in Ezulwini. Changes are expected in the executive committee with Vovovo and Pigg’s Peak Black Swallows directors, Sipho ‘Tsetla’ Bhembe and Charles Matsebula also in the race.
