WOMEN, THE GAME CHANGERS

MBABANE – They are the game changers of the sporting world.

A phenomenal sportswoman is one who is strong, self-confident and beautiful despite her skin colour, size, shape or sport of choice. 

This is according to Eswatini’s very own Sandra Groaning, the brainpower behind the famous Fitness Factory located in Manzini. 

Boasting a collection of wide ranging silverware won in bodybuilding and fitness competitions, mainly from South Africa, the fitness coach has shared her passion for fitness and health with people who she inspired through her involvement in this lifestyle. 

On December 14, 2019, she organised the first ever in-house bodybuilding competition for her gym members to celebrate their hard work and motivate them to work hard for international stages. 

As the Times of Eswatini celebrates the kingdom’s sportswomen, the women featured in this column today shared their journeys in sports and how they had inspired people in their communities. 

Remember, an empowered woman is bestowed with the power to empower others just like she was inspired by those before her. 

This deliberate alliteration is aimed at emphasising the strength of a woman or the female gender that is normally run-of-the-mill by the male community dominate the sports world.
