MBABANE – Cyclists who were still considering joining the Inyatsi l G2G Social Ride should not bother.
This was revealed by one of the organisers of the social ride, Mandisa Matsebula, yesterday.

“We were targeting only 50 cyclists for this social ride. We have reached our target and we had to stop registration. While it is true that there were more riders who wanted to join this social event, we had to observe the COVID-19 precautionary measures,” Matsebula said.
She went on to state that besides the 50 external riders who had registered, they would be joined by about 20 members from the Inyatsi Cycling Club who were hosts of the ride.

“I must state that we will not gather for the starting time but cyclists will start off as soon as they arrive. The official starting time though is 8am. Cyclists will follow the markings and choose which race they will partake in as there are four categories,” she said.

She also advised cyclists to brig sanitisers, and face masks as a form of health practice.
The social ride will be held at Nkonyeni Golf Estate tomorrow. It will start at 8am. The four-pronged race will see cyclists compete in the 2km, 5km, 10km and 35km.
