MBABANE – Denver Sundowns have joined the race to sign out-of-contract Mbabane Swallows striker Sandile Hlatshwako.

The Times Sports Desk has gathered that Sundowns have already shown interest in the lanky striker after it was reported that his contract was over at the capital city giants and would not be renewed.

The ‘Kappa Boys’ are not the only team that are interested in the services of the former Malanti Chiefs player, as Mbabane Highlanders have also indicated that they intend signing the player as reported in the Eswatini News publication three days ago.

Reached for comment, Sundowns CEO Elvis Dube only confirmed that they were looking to strengthen their squad in the coming season.
“We have a number of high profile players who we wish to sign for next season. I cannot mention names until we close the deals with those particular players,” said Dube.

When asked in which department they would like to bolster their squad, he said; “We want to strengthen all departments and we want to compete for honours next season,” he said.

When sought for comment, Hlatshwako requested to be called later.
However, when called later he said he could only comment when he has joined one of the teams that were reportedly after him.
