MANYISA A CATCH FOR ‘BIRDS’- ‘KOKI’

MBABANE – Award-winning coach Thabo ‘Koki’ Vilakati has said Leon Manyisa is a good signing for Mbabane Swallows.

Manyisa was unveiled last Wednesday by Mbabane Swallows in a press conference. He signed a one-year contract loan contract reported to be worth E70 000. “First of all I respect Manyisa’ decision to join Swallows. I want to wish him all the best, hopefully he will adapt quickly at Swallows,” Vilakati said. He said despite that he had advised the player to re-join Manzini Wanderers; he believed Swallows was not a bad option either especially if he handled the pressure that came with playing for a big team.

“The two teams are different in many ways, he must keep his head level. He is one talented player and if he dedicates himself he can leave a mark even at Swallows,” he said. He said the expectations were too high for Manyisa. “Too much is expected from him and he must deliver. However, he must not be under too much pressure, he must be himself. I am positive he can shine even at Swallows,” he added. He also commented on the news of lifting the ban on some low risks sports. “This is the beginning of good things to come for sports in general. We hope football will return soon but we must observe government and WHO precautionary measures to ensure not to escalate the spread of the virus,” he said.
