MBABANE – Leon Manyisa is a great asset. This is the feeling of Mbabane Swallows head coach Honour Janza, who is currently in his home country, Zambia, on vacation.

The former Chipolopolo mentor made it clear that in his observation, any coach would be happy to have a player of Manyisa’s calibre in their arsenal.
This is after the reputable gaffer had been asked on what he could do with a player of Manyisa’s quality if he joined the red and white glamour side.

This publication reported on Tuesday that the out-of-contract Manzini Wanderers youngster will be donning the famed red and white colours of Swallows in the new 2020/2021 season.
This is after the Elangeni High pupil reportedly agreed terms with the red and white ensemble.

Unveiled

The former FC Van player is expected to be unveiled by the capital outfit before the end of the week in a press conference.
A source claimed he has signed a one-year loan deal worth E40 000 and a signing fee of E30 000.
“He is a good player and I am sure any coach would be happy to have him if such an opportunity comes by,” said Janza.

Meanwhile, the Zambian strategist distanced himself from the news of Swallows signing the player and said only the team spokesperson, Mancoba Mabuza, could disclose such information.

“I am not able to confirm anything on him (Manyisa) signing with Mbabane Swallows. Only our PRO will be in the position to confirm and inform the public on behalf of Swallows Football Club,” said the coach.

According to transfermarkt.com, Manyisa is worth E400 000. He joined Manzini Wanderers on a one year loan deal from Vovovo.

Shattered

However, he was snatched by Armenia’s FC Van in September last year but he saw his dream of playing in Europe shattered after his two-year contract was terminated.

The worst happened when he came back to join the ‘Weslians’ in October, he was deemed not eligible to play by the Eswatini Football Association (EFA) Disciplinary Committee (DC) following that he was still attached to FC Van at that time.
