EZULWINI - Mbabane Highlanders’ midfielder Banele Ndzabandzaba is out of contract with the capital city giants.
This means that currently, the talented midfielder is not contracted to Highlanders who signed him from South Africa’s GladAfrica Championship side Mbombela United for the present season.

His contract with Inkunz’emnyama, as Highlanders are affectionately known, ran out last month. “Ndzabandzaba is no problem for us as we will renew his contract,” said the club’s South African director and businessman Chief Ally Kgomongwe when recently asked about the midfielder.

Kgomongwe’s team has few other players whose contracts came to an end in May and they include captain and central defender Jimoh Moses as well as Melusi Magagula and regular attacking midfielder PhumlanI Ngwenya.
However, while Ndzabandzaba is a certain renewal, it is yet to be decided if Jimoh and some of the youngsters who have seen little action are retained even for next season.
“I will renew my contract but I haven’t yet spoken much about it with the team,” Ndzabandzaba said when this issue was brought up to him.

The club’s Secretary, Simiso Jele, said they would be guided by the COVID-19 situation, which currently has football in the country inactive since March when the first positive case was reported here.
Meanwhile, Ndzabandzaba also played for Mhlume Peacemakers before Highlanders beat traditional rivals Mbabane Swallows to his signature in the January transfer window.
