TOURISTS TAKE PART IN PARKRUN

MBABANE – Despite the threat of the coronavirus pandemic, international tourists continue to partake in the Mbabane parkrun.


The 148th edition of the parkrun which attracted over 100 attendants yesterday had tourists from South Africa. The tourists included Bea Pretorius (Pretoria), Cherl Carter (Cape Town) while Thandi Zililo and Daphne Kirsten came all the way from Johannesburg.
Speaking to the sports desk, Pretorius said she did not want to comment much on the coronavirus issue.

“I am here for the parkrun, it’s something that I love doing and it was refreshing to partake in the Mbabane parkrun,” she said. Meanwhile, Carter said she had a wonderful time at the parkrun and would love to come back again while local parkrunners admitted coronavirus was indeed a threat but stressed on the importance of taking precautions.
