MBABANE – IF he did it in just three weeks, then what could stop you from achieving that too because as they say, nothing beats hard work.


If you are currently not exercising but wish to improve your fitness level and build the body of your dreams, the transformation corner is here to get you started. A long journey begins with the first step and this means taking the initiative and working towards your goals. Fitness fanatics love to say that the only bad workout is the one that did not happen. So forget the excuses, get off that couch, go for a long walk, jog or join the nearest gym where you will get the support and inspiration.

You cannot expect to go from sedentary to super fit in only three weeks, but you can certainly improve your fitness level. Ayina Dlamini, a 24-year-old guy from Queen’sgate in Mbabane started his fitness journey only three weeks ago and the results of his hard work are simply incredible. He did not only gain muscle mass but his well-built biceps are a testimony to his new fitness lifestyle. He shares with us his journey to fitness with the intention of inspiring others to start on their own transformation path.

When did you start training and what was the motivation behind it?
“I started training three weeks ago. My motivation is believing in myself because positive attitude is all that matters.”
What was your weight then compared to now?


“It was 73kg but now I am 75kg because I also do weight-lifting.”
If any, what challenges have you encountered since you embarked on your fitness journey?
“I can’t say that it was a challenge but mastering the step-aerobics proved a tough mental difficulty because it was all new to me. Through believing and pushing myself, I am steadily getting there and what I will not do is give up.”


How best can you describe your training routine?
“I do step and choreographed aerobics, which is a combination of dance and martial arts for an hour five times a week. I also do thirty to forty-five minutes of weight-lifting.”


What are your fitness goals?
“I want to be fit enough to become a trainer and help other people achieve their dreams. My weight does not really matter as long as I am well-toned and defined.”


What nutritional changes have you done since you started training?
“I drink two or more litres of pure water per day. I have also cut down on fatty foods. I make sure that I eat balanced diet meals with appropriate proportions.”
What is your personal slogan that keeps you focused?


‘Never give up, keep moving’.
What would be your advice for people dealing with weight issues?
“I would advise them to cut down on fatty foods, be self-disciplined and start exercising not only for weight loss but to improve their overall quality of life.”
