MBABANE – Buckle up for exciting Ingwenyama Cup semi-final duels.

Yesterday’s pairings made at Sincephetelo Motor Vehicle Accident Fund’s head office in Mbabane produced tasty ties. Green Mamba, who eliminated holders Young Buffaloes, face off with Moneni Pirates in a repeat of the third edition (2017/18) Last 16 match-up. Caleb Ngwenya’s men needed the dreaded lottery to shake off Pirates after the game had ended 2-all after regulation time back on December 16, 2017. Of late, Green Mamba have dominated this fixture despite losing 0-1 in the last meeting, which was a  first round league clash on October 12,2019.

Last year’s runners-up, Mbabane Highlanders, on the other hand, have giant slayers and National First Division log leaders Tambankulu Callies standing in their way. The latter are fresh from causing an upset by eliminating Manzini Wanderers by 2-0 in the quarter-finals.

Teams’ representatives had crammed the sponsor, SMVAF’s Boardroom to witness both the regional and main draw and tournament PRO Lenhle Masuku led the proceedings and he again came up with a perfect build-up to the pairings by flawlessly recapping the quarter-finals moments.
