MBABANE – There is no time to rest for professional golfer Nobuhle Dlamini as the Sunshine Ladies Tour series is now in full swing.

After a spirited display which saw her finishing second to earn E23 000 at the end of the first SLT event of 2020 (Cape Town Ladies Open) last Friday, focus shifts to Lost City for the Lobamba-born golfer. This morning at 8:20am, Dlamini will tee off in round one of the SuperSport Ladies Challenge. It will be played from today until Thursday at the Lost City Golf Club and up for grabs will be a E400 000 purse.

The golf course is situated at Sun City in the Northern Province, approximately 150 kilometres from Johannesburg, South Africa. Dlamini’s participation in the tournament was confirmed through a correspondence posted on the event’s official website. She will tee off alongside Stacy Bregman and Ivanna Samu, who are some of the top-ranked golfers from the neighbouring country.

This was the first event won by Dlamini ever since she turned professional in 2014. The 27-year-old was a champion in 2018, thanks to flawless rounds of 64, 69 and 72 which helped her to finish on five-under-par 205. In the past year, she ranked second with rounds of 68, 72 and 70.

After her performance in Cape Town last Friday, Dlamini had expressed her delight on starting the new SLT season on a high note, as she was fresh from successful qualifiers of the Ladies European Tour (LET) in Spain.
