WANDERERS VS ‘BIRDS’ IN Y’ELLO SUNDAY

MBABANE – The crunch MTN Premier League match between rivals Manzini Wanderers and Mbabane Swallows will be played under the MTN Y’ello Sunday banner this coming weekend.

The two sides will clash after recent disappointing results as Wanderers lost 1-3 to Green Mamba on Saturday at Mavuso Sports Centre while tittle-chasers Mbabane Swallows settled for a 1-all draw against Denver Sundowns. Both teams are also licking their wounds after they were booted out of the richly-sponsored Ingwenyama Cup. Swallows were 4-0 victorious in the first round match against the ‘Weslians’. Another enthralling match in Week 16 of the league will see Mbabane Highlanders face off with defending champions Green Mamba. Premier League of Eswatini (PLE) Chief Operations Officer (COO) Pat Vilakati said they would release the full fixtures with venues and times today.

“The big game in Week 16 of the MTN Premier League between Manzini Wanderers and Mbabane Swallows will be played under the Y’ello Sunday banner and the rest of the fixtures will be released on Tuesday,” he said. Runaway log leaders Young Buffaloes will be up against Milling Hotspurs while struggling Royal Leopard will face Moneni Pirates. There will be a relegation battle and a Pigg’s Peak derby between Malanti Chiefs and Pigg’s Peak Black Swallows. Both teams are at the bottom of the table with no results coming with Malanti Chiefs having been beaten 4-0 by Moneni Pirates on Saturday with Black Swallows losing 1-2 against Mbabane Highlanders on Sunday at Somhlolo National Stadium.
