MBABANE – Is Charles Edoa Nga the answer to Mbabane Swallows’ striker crisis?

Time will only tell as the capital city giants are looking to secure the striker ahead of this weekend’s game against Denver Sundowns.
According to a source close to the matter, the Cameroonian striker is on his way to join Swallows following that his Visa has been approved.

“Swallows are expecting the player anytime this week. It is only for the two parties to agree on terms when he joins the team in training. I am definitely sure that he cannot fly all the way from Cameroon just for nothing,” alleged the source. Reached for comment Mbabane Swallows Marketing and Communications Manager Mancoba Mabuza, said nothing had reached his office to that regard.

“All signings are handled by the office of the Club President, which advises us to communicate decisions in accordance with our media policy. Nothing has been communicated to the office at the moment,” he said.

Confirmed

Meanwhile, the player’s agent Samuel Kamali confirmed that the player was on his way to Eswatini.
“Charles is coming to Eswatini to join one of the local elite teams. He confirmed to me that he is ready for the challenge,” Kamali said.
He said the player was familiar with Eswatini football since he once played for Royal Leopard where he scored on debut.

If the deal materialises, he will be the only striker available for the match to be played on Sunday at Somhlolo National Stadium, at 3:35pm, where they will clash with Denver Sundowns in a league game.
This comes after the suspension of Sandile Hlatshwako, after he accumulated three yellow cards.

Negotiations

Swallows released South Africa Thabiso Mokenkoane early this month while negotiations with Pigg’s Peak Black Swallows over Allen Mabuza are still ongoing.
Simanga Shongwe has not fully recovered from an injury he sustained at the start of the season.
