MHLUME TENNIS STARS EXCEL IN STD V

MBABANE – They reacted in different ways of excitement upon receiving their 2019 Standard V results.


These are Mhlume Tennis Club youngsters, who include Andiswa Dlamini from Lusoti Primary School who turned up among the country’s top pupils with an aggregate of 75 per cent, getting a Merit pass. It was even more motivation for her teammate Sakhizwe Malindzisa, who got a Merit and then left the country on Wednesday for a tournament in Namibia.


Malindzisa’s team and schoolmates at Mhlume Primary School in the likes of Lufuno Dlamini and Mlandvo Mlotsa could not be left out as they got First and Merit passes respectively. Mhlume Tennis Club coach Gabi Mkhabela excitedly confirmed their players’ good results.

“We have a top pupil as a club in Andiswa, who was at Lusoti Primary School and plays for us. It wasn’t just her as even Sakhizwe, who left for Namibia on Wednesday, did exceptionally well with a Merit pass. Others in our team who did well are Lufuno Dlamini and Mlandvo,” she said.


Meanwhile, a number of youngsters in sports did well including Taekwondo trio of Gcinumuzi Nxumalo, Phiwayinkhosi Dlamini and Velile Gwebu. Nxumalo and Gwebu attained first class passes while Dlamini got a second class pass.
