OPEN TRIALS VENUES CONFIRMED

MBABANE – Venues for the eagerly-awaited Eswatini open football trials have been confirmed.


Australia-based global marketing firm Professional Soccer Management (PSM), in collaboration with Eswatini Football Association (EFA), is presenting a rare opportunity to all emaSwati to fight for a place in Europe through the 10-day trials that will run from January 20 this year. As they will be staged in all the country’s four regions, there are selected soccer grounds that will host the trials.

According to information sourced from PSM CEO Emmanuel Emenogu, Killarney Sports Ground in Pigg’s Peak and Prince of Wales in Mbabane are the hosts in the Hhohho Region. Those in the Manzini Region should storm the Ludzeludze, Manzini Club and Trade Fair Grounds. Lubombo folk should converge at Mayaluka Stadium in Big Bend and the Mhlume Sports Ground. For those in Shiselweni, their trials will be conducted at the King Sobhuza II Memorial Stadium in Nhlangano.


The exact dates of visiting each ground are yet to be finalised.
The trials are open to players in three categories (10-15, 16-18 as well as 19 and above). Registration fees range between E100 and E200.
They will be conducted by African legends who include Emmanuel Eboue, who used to play for Arsenal.


PSM has partnerships with Europeans teams that include Arsenal from England, as well as Galatasaray and Alanyaspor, who are both from Turkey.
The latter side have already invited Mbabane Highlanders and Sihlangu enterprising midfielder Sisekelo ‘Rio’ Matsenjwa for assessment at the end of the month.
