MBABANE – They may be considered a bit unlucky after their initial match against Pigg’s Peak Black Swallows was called off only 15 minutes before full-time.

That is army side Young Buffaloes, who were leading 1-0 after a Fanelo ‘Order’ Mamba strike in the 55th at King Sobhuza II Memorial Stadium in Nhlangano last Sunday.

Referee Mciniseli Sithole had to call off the game following heavy rainfall, which resulted in the artificial turf being water-logged as it could not absorb the volume of water on its surface, consequently declaring the pitch unplayable.

Difference

This afternoon, its game on as it will be a replay and a must win for the Dominic Kunene-led side, which will mean they secure the top spot on goal difference ahead of capital giants Mbabane Swallows with the two teams tied on 29 points in 12 games played.
Last weekend, the two sides had their first meeting so they clearly do not know much about each other but Buffaloes, as expected, demonstrated superiority in the 75 minutes the teams played.

Perhaps, the Mandla ‘Stofu’ Dlamini-led outfit will bring a different approach today which is not parking the bus at the back for the better part of the game.
Black Swallows come to the match as ‘minnows’ but have shown their capability of bringing an upset to the so-called ‘big’ teams.
Buffaloes need this one the most as they chase the first round ‘carrot’ of E350 000 for table toppers when the league takes a break.
They will be boosted by the return of head coach Kunene, who was away during the initial match in Zambia with the Under-20s national team for their 2019 COSAFA Youth Championships.

Blow

A defeat for the army side will come as a major blow in the contest of the first round incentive, even though chances of an upset are thin. Buffaloes will also be seeking redemption following their 0-1 setback against rivals Green Mamba.
Buffaloes know they cannot afford to slip again lest rivals Mbabane Swallows’ chances of finishing as table toppers are greatly boosted.
