6 RIDERS IN SA NATIONAL CHAMPS

MBABANE – The country’s is taking South Africa’s Motocross National Championships by storm.

This follows the involvement of six riders from the country in the celebrated championships. They include the champion of the 85cc Junior Championships in the TRP Distributors Motocross Nationals in siblings Seth Young and Blake Young, Dylan Kirk, Timo Toepfer, Damon Garrell and Shaun Mamba, who is based in South Africa but rides for the country.
Swaziland Motocross and Bike Association’s (SMBA) Tasmia said they were very proud of these riders who had dedicated their time travelling to South Africa and also be able to concentrate on their school work.

Finishing

“We have three podium finishes with Blake Young finishing second in the Pro Mini 85 and Dylan Kirk who was third in the Pro Mini 85,” she said. Tasmia said motocross was a difficult sport as some of their riders had suffered injuries.  She said the sport was called extreme for a reason. She then thanked Seth’s father who also acts as a driver when going to these competitions. She said the riders would be back in action next year in February as they were now taking a festive holiday break.
