IT’S AMALANDA VS LUDZELUDZE BROS

LOBAMBA – Four regional teams have been granted a chance to play with the big guns in the richly sponsored Ingwenyama Cup.


However, they will have to face  each in contention to fill in the last two spots in the annual tournament which sees 32 teams battle it out for the E1.3 million prize money. Shiselweni side Amalanda will have to battle it out with Manzini Super League side, Ludzeludze Brothers while Sunrise will have a date with Lubombo Flyers.


The latter will play at 4pm while the former will kick off at 2pm. Both games will be played at Somhlolo National Stadium on Saturday.


Draw


This was revealed during the draw which was held at Eswatini Football Association (EFA) Technical Centre at Lobamba yesterday.
The draw was conducted by the Ingwenyama Cup Football chairman Johannes ‘Ace’ Siboza and Secretary Pat Vilakati. Also present during the draw were teams representatives except for officials from Lubombo Flyers.

The latter did not report to the association and will be slammed with a summary fine as stipulated in the Rules and Regulation of the tournament. “Now that we have conducted the draw, we want the team to keep time because delay in the match, the team that forces a match delay with face consequences as stipulated in the rules and regulations of the tournament.

Gates will open at noon and fans will have to pay E10 as entry fee,” Premier League of Eswatini COO and secretary of the tournament Pat Vilakati said.
Meanwhile, the Chairman of the Ingwenyama Cup Football committee Johannes ‘Ace’ Siboza added that there would be no extra time.


Opponents


“The two teams that will win on Saturday will join the last 32 teams. They will know their opponents on Friday during the main draw which will be held at the Sincephetelo Motor Vehicle Accident Fund (SMVAF) Headquarters in Mbabane. The main tournament will kick-off next Friday,” Siboza said.
