‘KOKI’ EXPLAINS SITHOLE SNUB
MHLUME - The cat is out of the bag - Mbabane Highlanders versatile forward Menzi Sithole’s continued absence is reportedly not due to an injury.
Coach Thabo ‘Koki’ Vilakati has come out to clear the air regarding the player’s continued absence. He alleged that Sithole skipped camp in the last two matches against Manzini Wanderers and Mhlume Peacemakers.
“At first the player never showed up at all while this week he skipped camp,” alleged Vilakati.
The player’s name was again in the starting team yesterday, but eventually cancelled when Highlanders played a 1-all draw with Peacemakers at Nsukuwansuku Stadium.
Light
‘Koki’ saw the need to shed light as some the supporters were worried about the player’s absence.
Commenting on the game, Vilakati accepted the point on the road.
“We’re work in progress, but we need to be sharper upfront,” he said.
Peacemakers coach Takesure Chiragwi was relieved to avoid defeat against a big team after a terrible campaign so far.
He said they regrouped in the second half after a slow start.
“We’ll improve and focus shifts to the next game against Wanderers,” he said.
Highlanders’ next game, on the other hand, is against Denver Sundowns.
