MBABANE – She is on fire. That is the story of ace golfer Nobuhle Dlamini who claimed her second consecutive Origins of Golf victory when she won the final tournament on the series by three shots at the Simola Golf and Country Estate on Wednesday.

According to information sourced from Sport24, the Lobamba-born golfer closed with a one-under-par 71 to win on level par 144 to pocket the E16 000 in South Africa’s Western Cape Province.  The 27-year-old added to her victory in the Selborne tournament earlier last month. She won ahead of top golfers around the globe who included Lee-Anne Pace from South Africa, who is ranked number one in Africa.

The Sunshine Ladies Tour professionals have competed alongside the men’s Sunshine Tour professionals in the five 36-hole pro-ams of the Origins of Golf series, but also playing in their own individual women’s competition for their own prize money.

“It’s amazing. To win two out of two is great. And I’ve won on two totally different golf courses, which is good for the confidence,” Dlamini was quoted saying.

Won

Dlamini joins South Africa’s Casandra Hall as the only Sunshine Ladies Tour professionals to have won twice during the Vodacom Origins of Golf series this year.
With the Origins of Golf series out of the way, focus shifts back to Europe for Dlamini. She will compete in the Ladies European Tour (LET) event styled Andalucia Costa del Sol Open de Espana in Spain between November 28 and December 1.  She will fight for a share from a E4.9 million purse.
