MBABANE – She made her presence felt in South Africa.

That is 14-year-old Chloe Thorne who came home with two rosettes on her debut competition as a junior rider at the SANESA games.
For the equestrian sport, rosettes are presented in place of medals and this is a global standard practice.

She was among the four-member team that participated at the SANESA games from Eswatini representing Mpumalanga, after qualifying to ride for Mpumalanga in the 2019 South African National Equestrians School Association (SANESA) Nationals from September 25 to 28,  2019 at Misty Meadows Equestrian Centre in Pretoria East.

The other riders were Lia van Wyk, Brendan van Kooten, and Coral Taman.
The other three had already been profiled and today we present the last profile of the young riders looking at Chloe’s performance from the South African competition and other achievements. She is among the junior riders from which the Equestrian Federation of Eswatini (EFE) intends to produce the first Eswatini riders to represent the kingdom at the fast approaching Tokyo 2020 Olympics.
