MBABANE – He is in good form and got national team Sihlangu head coach Kostadin Papic’s nod when he scored four goals in a match.
That is the lanky and experienced striker Sandile Hlatshwako of Mbabane Swallows.

As exclusively reported by this publication last week that the Serb coach would be making new call-ups ahead of the Zambia African Nations Championship (CHAN) final round and second leg qualifier on October 19, Hlatshwako is one of the players going to camp on Sunday.
He has five league goals and his team has not lost in seven matches, scored the highest goals and conceded the least which puts them at the summit of the MTN Premier League.

He has been in good form this season for his club as he also has some assists.
“The coach only included two new call-ups and that’s a striker and a midfielder. I’m not going to go much into the names, but Sandile Hlatshwako is one of them,” said an impeccable source close to the national team activities.

list

The source said Papic would probably be releasing the squad list to the EFA by tomorrow and that is when the media can have access to it for the public to know.
Papic had also said last week that he would have his final team list ready by tomorrow.
“Final list will be produced next week Thursday, there will be new faces in squad,” he was quoted saying.

He also indicated that one of the three top players who supporters have called for their inclusion in the squad, being the trio of Hlatshwako and his Captain teammate Tony ‘TT’ Tsabedze as well as Young Buffaloes goalkeeper Nhlanhla Gwebu would be in the squad to face Zambia in the decider match.

Sihlangu trail 0-1 going into the second leg, which if they can successfully overturn, will mean a ticket to Cameroon for the CHAN Finals next January, which will be secured for the first time in the history of the country that is still struggling to win even the regional COSAFA Cup.

reluctant

Papic was reluctant to comment on the call-ups instead he said the EFA was going to release the squad once he had submitted it to them. No immediate response could be ascertained from both Swallows and the player despite efforts to reach them.
The club’s Communications and Marketing Manager Manqoba Mabuza had also not responded to a text sent to him on the latest news.
