MBABANE – Red and white capital city giants Mbabane Swallows are in devastating form and will look to maintain that status quo tonight when they take on strong but ailing defending champions Green Mamba.

The Beautiful Birds or Tinyoni, as they are fondly known by their faithful, have gone all four league games in the new season unbeaten or dropping a point, only conceding once while scoring 12. Their rivals have not been at their best as they have had a tough start to the season and their coach, Caleb Ngwenya, knows it will be yet another tough match for them – he said once in their second match that they ‘were ready for anyone’ when reporters asked him about the way Swallows had recruited and played thus far.

Tonight, he meets Tinyoni with his team undergoing a tough spell you have to look beyond the top eight to see them in the log standings. This is all because they have managed one win, a draw and two defeats at the hands of Tambuti and Manzini Wanderers. They find themselves perched outside the top eight on position nine with a mere four points out of a possible 12 and that is eight points behind pacesetters Swallows.

Green Mamba needs to come out of their shell if they are to be counted among competing sides this season in as far as the title they won on deadline day last season is concerned. Both teams have the strongest squads any coach can ask for only one has been doing the job while the other has suffered even where least expected. A very tough and exciting match on the cards tonight Green Mamba prevailed in both rounds last season!
