MBABANE – Sihlangu supporters will win big during their eagerly-awaited tournament next Saturday.

Eswatini Football Supporters Club (EFSC) in partnership with On Time Investment will stage the eight-team tournament at Somhlolo National Stadium, starting at 7am.  EFSC Vice Secretary Knowledge Ngwenya, when releasing the logistics of the tournament, said outstanding teams will get building material worth between E1 000 and E10 000, which will be donated to charity, on top of trophies and medals.

“Entry fee is only E20.
“Each team should parade 20 male players and 11 ladies who will take penalties. Each female player will pay E10 entry fee,” said Ngwenya.
Tickets for the games are already available at On Time Investment outlets in Manzini at the Summerplace Building Office Number 19 as well as the Mpaka and Mbabane branch at Sigwaca House.
Other ticket centres are Destiny Music in Mbabane, MTN Sharks Cellular in Mbabane Mall, MTN Siteki New Mall and Walala Wasala Supermarket at Mathangeni in Matsapha.

“When you buy the ticket please remember to state the name of your team of choice,” stressed Ngwenya.
According to the rules released by Ngwenya, each team will play three games in a round-robin before qualifying for the knockout stage (semi-finals).
“Each team will consist of soccer and ladies for penalty shootouts.

“Each soccer team must have 20 players with 93 per cent of them above 35. Seven per cent of the players must be above 25,” said Ngwenya.
Teams are not allowed to use any former Premier League, First Division or Super League player.

“Each team should have a team list of the 20 players with a copy of an attachment of their identity documents.
“These shall be presented by the team representative in the Executive Committee of EFSC on Saturday, September 7, 2019 at 07:30am at the Somhlolo Stadium.

“Each men and Ladies team should be ready to take only three penalties due to time management and many activities on the day,” he said.
The teams will be grouped into two. The group winners and runners-up will advance to the semi-finals.

“There will be no offside and linesman. There will be a professional referee from either the First Division or Super League.
“Not much of the FIFA rules of the game will apply as these are social games,” he added.

Meanwhile, supporters of the ‘Big Three’ of Mbabane Swallows, Mbabane Highlanders and Manzini Wanderers will be represented during the tournaments. Latecomers will be penalised.

The festivities are expected to be spiced up by the presence of Masoja Msiza, who is widely known as Nkunzi on SABC 1’s popular soapie Uzalo. Gospel heavyweight Nduduzo Matse and Insali ka-Jehova Gospel Group are also in the programme.
