LOBAMBA – Without any fear of contradiction, Mbabane Highlanders head coach Zenzele ‘Ace’ Dlamini was adamant the single point his team gained from yesterday’s 1-all draw with Moneni Pirates was valuable.

This was inspite the ‘Black Bull’ just five minutes away from recording their second MTN League win after having beaten Pigg’s Peak Black Swallows 3-1 here mid-week.
“I am happy with my boys, they are fighters and Pirates always have a good history against us, so I am happy with the point,” Dlamini said.
He then explained the absence of midfielder Menzi Sithole.

“I decided to rest him because I don’t believe in aggravating a payer’s injury through constantly giving him an injection,” he said.

spirit

Moneni Pirates stand-in coach, Bongani Mhlongo, who held the reins in the absence of head coach Gcina ‘Magiyane’ Dlamini away in Botswana with the National Under-17 squad, said his players fighting spirit was commendable.

“We didn’t start very well because we didn’t warm up. We are dealing with a lot of administrative issues but we played well in the second half and got the goal that gave us the one point which we appreciate going forward,” Mhlongo said.
