LOBAMBA – Manzini Wanderers attacking midfielder   Leon Manyisa is a happy man despite losing in the finals against Mbabane Highlanders.

The former Vovovo player said he was happy to have scored the winning goal against Mbabane Swallows. “Look, we lost as a team against Mbabane Highlanders. I believe Wanderers will be one of the competitive team this season. We showed today that we are a strong team but were unfortunate not to win,” he said. “I must say that the win against Swallows was a positive start ahead of the season and I was happy to score the winning goal,” he added.

Wanderers left back Sanele Mkhweli said it was a learning curve for the team. “We did not get enough time to rest and fatigue caught up with us,” Mkweli said. Wanderers’ Lwazi ‘Shana’ Maziya said they lost to a better team. Mbabane Highlanders’ captain Menzi Sithole said he was over the moon to win the trophy with the ‘Bull’. “This is the beginning of great things to come at Highlanders,” he said. Menzi Gamedze said nothing felt better than scoring and winning the trophy with Highlanders. Highlanders beat Wanderers 3-1 in the finals of the Eswatini Telecom Charity Cup at Somhlolo National Stadium.
