MBABANE – Eswatini National Netball Association (ENNA) and Inhlonhla Investment Company have ‘renewed their vows.’

The Inhlonhla Netball Tournament returns with a revised purse following a successful launch that was held at the company’s premises at Swazi Plaza in Mbabane yesterday. During the event, Inhlonhla’s Business Development Manager Mandla Nxumalo announced a three-year partnership. A sum of E30 000 was allocated to each season, and this amount reflects a E20 000 increment from the previous year.

In essence, the total package for the three years is E90 000.

excited

In line with the sponsor’s slogan: vision, growth and wealth; Nxumalo said they were excited to once again work with a sport that primarily gives women the opportunity to shine and achieve great things in life. Historically, Inhlonhla is a place where one could keep livestock for a certain period with the objective of seeing growth and future benefits.

“It is imperative as a country to invest in the girl-child’s life and give them equal opportunities in the growth of the country in all sectors, thus our willingness to partner with the netball association. The progress and impact of the competitions in the past seasons were commendable and it is on that basis that we wish to commit to E30 000 for the next three years to supporting this initiative,” said Nxumalo.

ENNA executive member Roster Lukhele thanked the company for the kind gesture and for entrusting them with the representative and marketing responsibility.

“I would like thank our sponsor for the renewal of our partnership. We are humbly honoured for the increased sponsorship and the teams are excited and looking forward to yet another successful season as we seek to grow and build a strong national team that will represent the kingdom of Eswatini in international competitions,” said Lukhele.

On behalf of EOCGA, Simelane praised the netball association for ensuring that their marriage with Inhlonhla grew from strength to strength. He added that a well regulated and coordinated sport industry that promotes a healthy, passionate, proud and winning nation was the sports council’s vision.

He further thanked the company for the committed support towards the fast-growing sport and motivated the players to hoist the country’s flag in international games.
