BUHLENI – “Our plan was to at least have three cyclists in the main race.” These were comments by Dig Deep Cycling Club team Joseph Waring on Saturday after his team dominated the 130km of the East to West Road Classic.

“Well, I am happy that my boys dominated but I wanted them to at least claim the top three spot in the main race. Our plan was to have three cyclists break away in the early stages of the race unfortunately it did not go according to plan as Calvin Louw set the bar high and only Sihle Dlamini managed to catch,” Waring said.
He said they were, however, happy about the achievement by Sihle Dlamini and Gcina Banda, who came first and third respectively.

“Well, we did well as a team. I am also happy about the attendance of the race. It was a first race and we were impressed. I am positive next year it will be a big and better race,” he said.
