ENTA AGM SATURDAY

MBABANE – Two critical aspects will be interrogated. This will be on Saturday, July 27, 2019 when the Eswatini National Tennis Association (ENTA) holds its Annual General Meeting (AGM).


The association President, Maxwell Jele, said the AGM would be held at the Lobamba OlympAfrica Sports Development Centre, starting at 9:30am.
“We are inviting and calling on all associations affiliated to ENTA to attend the AGM without fail. The two critical aspects to be presented include the president’s report and the audited financial statement of the year under review,” said Jele.

The president made emphasis on the fact that this was a very important meeting as it took place once a year and disclosed that it would be the third AGM under the current executive.

“Next year’s AGM will be an elective AGM as we will hold elections,” said Jele.
 On another note, the president divulged that they would be officially launching the National Tennis Centre.


“Its construction is now complete and it entailed the construction of four brand new tennis courts and a mini grand stand. It is situated at Lobamba, within the OlympAfrica Sports Development Centre,” he said.

The president further disclosed that the centre cost E1 million and the launch will be held on Saturday, August 3, 2019.
He said the Minister of Sports, Culture and Youth Affairs Harris ‘Madze’ Bulunga would be the guest of honour.


Jele also disclosed that during this period, they had also invited guests including a representative from the International Tennis Federation (ITF), Eswatini Olympic and Commonwealth Games Association (EOCGA) and the Swaziland National Sport and Recreation Council (SNSRC).
