MBABANE – The Parkrun is more than just for wellness, but an adventure.

A group of over 30 South African parkrun tourists and one Australian runner, Andrew Raynolds from Melbourne Australia, visited Mbabane Club and particpated in its parkrun yesterday. These visitors represented parkruns from Blue Lagoon, Albnerts Farm, Bryanstan, Edenvale, Ernest Ullman, Lonehill, Waterfall, Wits, Ladiu and Pretoria. Raynolds celebrated his 242nd run and Mark De Klerk 200. Felicity Halden, Lisanne Hofmeyr and Ronel Pote were honoured for completing 100 park runs. Mbabane Club Parkrun Manager Lean Drink Water welcomed the visitors and applauded them for the remarkable accomplishments.

“These tourists visit different park runs every Saturday and we are more than honoured to have them here. This is really amazing and you can imagine the kind of adventure, experiences and excitement behind that. Reynolds almost missed our park run but forced matters and boarded the last plane to South African and made it to the kingdom of Eswatini. His next stop is Namibia,” said Drink Water. Amongst yesterday’s milestone achievers were junior siblings Sabusiswa Manana and Khujo, who were presented with certificates after having completed 10 park runs.
