LOBAMBA – The national team, Sihlangu coach Kostadin Papic said the team has the prowess to perform without the quartet of Sabelo ‘Sikhali’ Ndzinisa, Njabulo ‘D4D’ Ndlovu, Xolani ‘Papi’ Sikhondze and Mthunzi Mkhontfo.

The players are the only absentees in the training camp as they are now going to play internationally while the CHAN tournament is only for locally-based players. The duo of Ndzinisa and Ndlovu signed a two-year contract with Mbombela United while Sikhondze joined Desportivo de Maputo from Mozambique with Mkhontfo set of sign Stellenbosch in Cape Town.

Papic, who boasts of 27 players at camp said he had plenty of good quality players who will easily fit in. The team will also be without Felix Badenhorst, who played a crucial role in the COSAFA Cup.

“They are gone and life has to continue. We will have to do with the players currently available and they are all good. Now we are focusing on our training in preparation for the coming games against Angola who boast of experience,” he said. Meanwhile, there was an injury scare for Sihlangu Banele ‘Makonesi’ Dlamini, who had a cut in the head during the training session against Royal Leopard on Saturday at Mavuso Sports and he was stitched.

The players joined his team-mates at training session yesterday and he will be available for the match. Meanwhile, Papic then sent his condolences to Sifiso Matse who is mourning the demise of his father Dee Matse.
He was laid to rest on Sunday morning at Siphofaneni and the player was back with the team yesterday.
