The first trolley dash winners of EPTC Charity Cup 2019 Tournament, Delisile Maziya and Pinky Simelane, collectively won themselves groceries totalling E2 977.88.

The two ladies won the trolley dash prize after applying for an insurance policy and fixed WI-FI line, which are some of the products provided by EPTC. They each had one minute to fill up a trolley with groceries yesterday at Ezulwini Valley View OK Mini Market. The rules of the game urge winners to pick only two items per product, except for electrical appliances.

Maziya, who hails from Mbekelweni and works as a Store Manager at Pep Stores in Ezulwini Gables, managed to collect items worth E2 015.74 and Simelane from Bhunya, Emhlangeni walked home with groceries worth E9 62.14.

Christmas

In celebration after the trolley dash, the duo described their win as an early Christmas. Maziya had a grocery target of E3 000 as she said she normally spent E2 000 monthly and Simelane wished for items worth E1 000, which is double her monthly expenditure on food.
“This is my lucky day. I have never won any competition before and now I have a story to tell. I am over the moon. My family will be very excited too and I will not be buying groceries this month. Thank you EPTC for caring about the nation,” she said jubilantly.

She further encouraged the public to support the company’s products and the Charity Cup Soccer Tournament and also stand a chance to win lucrative prizes. Simelane, who works as a cleaner in one of the Valley View offices, also expressed her appreciation to EPTC. She promised to buy a ticket for the tournament and hoped that her favourite team, Manzini Wanderers, could be crowned champions.
