MALOLOTJA – Over 2 000 braved the chilly weather to walk for a noble cause at Malolotja Nature Reserve.

This was during the 24th edition of the Cheshire Homes Fund-raising Walk yesterday.
Not even the chilly weather conditions could deter the walkers from fulfilling their mandate.

They walked 7km and 14km despite that the rain drizzled for prolonged period. They were joined by Cheshire Home Patron Inkhosikati LaNtenteza, LaMashwama and former deputy prime minister Themba Masuku among other noticeable guests.

There were over 20 companies which each brought along a long list of their staff members to participate in the walk. The walk started at 6am.After the walk participants came back to do aerobics.

The participants were later treated to entertainment by comedian Smallz and Gedlembane.
Cheshire CEO Muzi Dlamini said this was the biggest fund-raising walk since inception.

“We are happy about the attendance of the event. This has been the biggest we have witnessed in years. We had about 25 companies joining us in the walk today. Some companies like Eswatini Electricity Company brought along as many as 100 staff members. The funds we get here help us in our different projects which seek to help the affected emaswati,” Dlamini said.
