MBABANE – “I am grateful to the Mbabane Parkrun as it opened opportunities for me.”

These were comments by 34-timeparkrun winner Nkululeko Gama. The Eswatini Umbutfo Defence Force athlete disclosed yesterday how the weekly parkrun opened doors for him.

“I applied for a job at Buffaloes Soldiers and when they invited me for an interview, they recognised that I was the runner who usually wins the parkrun. They said their job title entails a person who is physical fit and they said they did not need proof as they always saw me in the newspapers,” Gama said.
