MBABANE – Will Siteki Ladies manage to pin down Young Buffaloes on Sunday? EswatiniBank Cup Tournament defending champions, Young Buffaloes will face Siteki Ladies at King Sobhuza Memorial Stadium at 10am.

The army side coach, Simephi Zulu, said she was going into the game with an injury-free squad and ready to take three points into the cup finals. She sounded quite adamant of a triumph but mentioned that they would not undermine their opponents as the game of football was unpredictable and they were doing all the necessary preparations to guarantee them a win.


“Our focus is on lifting the cup once again and we are hard at training every day to make sure that we are in perfect form. I cannot undermine our opponents because anything can happen in 90 minutes. My players are ready for a game any day and we are determined to retain our title as the women football champions,” said Zulu.


Buffaloes recorded a brilliant 9-0 victory against their forces rivals, Royal Leopard last Saturday at Somhlolo National Stadium, while Siteki edged Elangeni 3-2, kicking them out of the race for the EswatiniBank Cup. In his comments after eliminating Elangeni from the tournament, Siteki Ladies coach Wandile Sibiya said it was a game of two halves and anyone could have won the game, adding that it all came down to executing a working game plan.

Meanwhile, Mbabane Swallows will host Manzini Wanderers in the final’s decider at Mavuso Sports Centre tomorrow at 10:30am. Weslians coach Bongani Makhukhula said their plan was to complete the game without conceding by maintaining attacking tactics.
“We had a good week of training and my players are both physically and mentally prepared to give a good performance. Both teams are clear with each other’s playing tactics. We will make sure not to concede but push forward,” said Makhukhula.
